City officials say San Antonio plans to open 28 cooling centers this week as temperatures are forecast to reach triple digits. The cool-down sites will be located in senior centers, libraries, and community centers all around town. The centers will have pandemic precautions in place, such as social distancing and hand sanitizer stations. If a center reaches its capacity, people may be sent to a different location.
