Houston is preparing today for George Floyd's funeral. Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo says Floyd's body along with his family are in Houston ahead of Tuesday's memorial service. His third service will be held at the Fountain of Praise Church on Hillcroft near West Orem. The viewing is set to start at noon today and continue until 6 p.m. Only 15 people may enter the church at a time and must be wearing masks and gloves. The family's private funeral is scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday at the same church.
Joe Biden will meet with the family of George Floyd in Houston. The campaign for the presumptive Presidential nominee tells NBC News the in-person meeting is happening today, Monday. The funeral service on Tuesday will also feature a video message from Biden. The former Vice President's visit comes two weeks after Floyd died while in police custody in Minneapolis.
