Wolff Concerned State Won't Fairly Distribute Opioid Lawsuit Proceeds

Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff says he's not confident state officials will fairly distribute money to counties from a possible opioid lawsuit settlement. Wolff told county commissioners on Monday that the county is expected to receive seven-million-dollars, which he says is far short of what it should be. Bexar County sued manufacturers and distributors of opioids last year for negligence and deceptive trade practices. Trial is set for April 2021. Wolff says the state's distribution of pandemic funding isn't encouraging.
