Former NBA star Stephen Jackson is vowing to do everything he can to get justice and a conviction for the man killed by a now-former Minnesota cop.
The Houston-area native told reporters in Minneapolis today he was extremely angry about the death of George Floyd. The pair were longtime friends having met in Texas and joked they were "twins" because of their resemblance. Jackson says the city of Minneapolis will take care of Floyd's daughters suggesting a wrongful death lawsuit will be filed.
Floyd died Monday after video showed now former Officer Derek Chauvin pressing his knee against Floyd's neck. Chauvin was fired days later and arrested today on third-degree murder and manslaughter charges.
