Man Sentenced For Stealing Spent Brass From JBSA

It's probation and remuneration for the former owner of a recycling plant accused of stealing spent brass from Joint Base San Antonio. Zachary Walter pleaded guilty in January to stealing more than 135-thousand-dollars' worth of brass ammo cases from JBSA. Walter was sentenced on Thursday to five years' probation, and was ordered to repay more than 100-thousand-dollars. His recycling plant was closed in 2016. Walter still faces a charge of stealing $165,000 worth of recyclables from the base.
