Houston Native Dies In Custody Of Minneapolis Police

A former neighbor says the black man who died Monday night in Minneapolis police custody was a native Houstonian. Officers claim 45-year-old George Floyd matched the description of a suspect and resisted arrest when they tried to take him in. Floyd died after a white officer knelt on his neck for several minutes. Cell phone video showed the officer ignoring Floyd as he pleaded that he couldn't breathe. Four Minneapolis police officers involved in the arrest were fired on Tuesday.
