For years, Democrats and climate change crazies that come with them have had a common goal, to institute the "Green New Deal." Essentially, they want to replace our reliable energy with renewable energy like wind and solar. All in the name of "climate change," which no one buys anymore outside of liberals. All of it is an effort to control, degrade America and push the costs onto Americans.

All of it began during the President Obama administration, when he instituted various Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) laws for cars, power plants, and introduced red tape for American energy we still have yet to cut. President Biden carried the insanity torch into his term, implementing his 2024 Carbon Pollution Standards for greenhouse gas emissions from coal and gas power plants.

What that act did was essentially label carbon dioxide as a pollutant. You know, the thing humans exhale on a daily basis. It is also the same gas emitted by power plants. So, the act was nothing more than a way to stifle American energy and make us reliant on others. But President Trump is doing his part in trying to revert us to normalcy.

The EPA has finalized a repeal of almost all of Biden's 2024 standards, which could save the American taxpayer around $310 billion.

Marc Morano of the Climate Depot says this is a big deal not just for the savings, but for unchaining American energy from the depths of regulation and red tape.

"That alone will free them from the fighting climate change technological things they had to add...and gets rid of a lot of the regulatory burdens on that," he says.

The aim of this is exactly that, unleashing American energy as Trump promised in his candidacy. It also, in turn, would help bring down the energy costs for Americans. EPA administrator Lee Zeldin said the standards from Biden exceeded the Clean Air Act authority, saying they relied on carbon-capture technology that was not adequately demonstrated.

But beyond it even going out of the parameters of the Clean Air Act, the idea itself that carbon dioxide is a pollutant that is harmful to the earth is borderline laughable. Because again, we as humans exhale it into the atmosphere daily.

"Carbon Dioxide was never defined in the Clean Air Act as pollution...in fact it is never even mentioned...human breath has never been defined as pollution," Morano says. "They are going after the same elements of human breath that are in power plants, so the Trump administration is stripping away all those rules on power plants."

It is just another part of making American energy independent once again, as Trump promised in 2024. But of course, there will be the usual leftist temper tantrums over it. Greta Thunburg will certainly make an impassioned speech in front of a camera about it, after flying on a private jet. The media will also pitch it as some reckless action that "endangers the climate with increased pollution."

But in reality, where normal people live, that is just their coping mechanism for another blow to their agenda.

"This is getting rid of Green New Deal style climate goals, which do nothing for the Earth, and do everything to make human life more miserable and expensive," says Morano.

After all, though, this is the land of the free and the home of the lawsuit. While this is a win for now, legal challenges are almost certainly being brewed by the Left.

Morano says that will mean this action will ultimately end up before the Supreme Court. But for now, it is another blow to the climate change insanity.
