University Of Texas Students To Return To Campus In Fall

Students will return to campus at the University of Texas in Austin this fall.

The fall semester will begin as scheduled on August 26 at U-T, and classes will run until Thanksgiving, but then students will not return after the break, but instead they'll will participate in reading days and final exams remotely. With COVID-19 still expected to be active this fall, university officials hope to avoid the possibility of students becoming infected during the Thanksgiving break and then spreading the virus to classmates if they were to return after Thanksgiving.

University officials said they are still developing the details for how this new schedule will affect courses, residence hall living and other key campus functions.
