Austin Confirms Over 80 More Coronavirus Cases In Care Facilities

There are over 80 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in long-term care facilities in Austin. Interim Austin Health Authority Dr. Mark Escott told the City Council today the positive cases happened over the past week. He also reported two new clusters at nursing homes although the facilities were not named. Austin Public Health says there are over 470 coronavirus positive tests in long-term care facilities in the city.
