Expansion Of Mail-In Voting Still In Force While Under Appeal

A Houston-based state appeals court says a judge's order to greatly expand mail-in voting will remain in force for now. The 14th Court of Appeals issued its 2-to-1 ruling on Thursday, siding with the Texas Democratic Party. A Travis County state district judge ordered the state to allow people to vote by mail if they're afraid of catching the coronavirus. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton appealed the order in an attempt to overturn it, and argued it should be set aside during the appeal.
