More Than Half Of Bexar County's COVID-19 Patients Have Now Recovered

For the first time, Metro Health is reporting that more than half of all Bexar County COVID-19 patients have now recovered. 927 of the 1,835 cases are now listed as recovered.

In its latest report, Metro Health reported there were 30 new coronavirus cases on Friday. 24 of the new cases were from the community, 2 from the jail and the remaining from congregate settings.

There are now 295 inmates and 51 jail staff members who have tested positive.

Mayor Ron Nirenberg reported there have been two more deaths. One was a man in his 60s and the other a woman in her 50s.

63 people are hospitalized, with 33 in ICU and of those 21 on ventilators.
