San Antonio Passes Resolution To Ban Terms Such As 'Chinese Virus'

In San Antonio, a virus from China can no longer be referred to as a Chinese virus. City Council on Thursday unanimously passed a resolution against racism, antisemitism and "hate speech" amid the coronavirus pandemic. Mayor Ron Nirenberg put forward the resolution, claiming hate crimes against Asians are on the increase because of the use of terms like "Chinese virus" or "Kung Fu virus." The resolution also claims there are conspiracy theories blaming the Jewish community for the disease.
