Salata

How are restaurant franchisees navigating COVID-19? For Salata Salad Kitchen franchisee Kasey Vanacek, her focus has been on protecting as many staff jobs as possible and leveling up customer service for takeout and delivery at her locations in San Antonio.

Just some of her success can be attributed to her unique “quarantine packs” for customers that include a roll of toilet paper, two water bottles, Salata salad for four including protein and toppings of choice, four assorted cookies, two dressing carafes and a gallon of tea or lemonade for one set price. She brought in thousands in sales her first week offering them.

She’s also leveling up customer service. For instance, when delivery platforms can’t keep up with demand, Vanacek and her staff have been making deliveries themselves…and brightening guests’ days. You might see her or her staff dressed in an avocado suit dropping your order or making your salad if you head in for takeout.
