Virus Cases Reported In 35 Government-Run Homes For Disabled In Texas

Texas Health and Human Services says 35 government-funded homes for disabled Texans have at least one coronavirus case. They include 20 of the more than 800 intermediate care facilities in Texas, some of which are state-supported, plus 15 of the more than 2,900 Medicaid-supported community group homes. More than 16,000 Texans with disabilities live in these group settings. The agency hasn't said how many residents and staff members at these facilities have tested positive, because of privacy reasons.
