Texas Reports More Than 21,000 Coronavirus Cases

Almost 550 Texans have now died from coronavirus. State Health officials released the new data today while also noting an 873-case jump in positive tests. The agency says the jump may be deceptive because testing supplies are starting to run out. Just over 21,000 COVID-19 positive cases have been reported with more than 7,300 patients recovered.

There are now cases in 200 of the 254 counties in the state. More than 216,000 tests have been administered.
