City Announces Panel Of Experts To Get Economy Started Again

A city-appointed economic transition team will plan the reopening of San Antonio's businesses once the stay-at-home orders are lifted. City officials on Tuesday announced the creation of the 19-member task force, which will be led by Julissa Carielo of Tejas Premier Building Contractors, and Kevin Voelkel of Toyota Manufacturing Texas. The other team members are local CEOs, entrepreneurs, and school administrators, along with Bexar County manager David Smith and San Antonio city manager Erik Walsh. The team is expected to present a plan to City Council by May 1st.
