Oil Prices Plunge To Historic Low

The state's oil and gas industry is reeling after oil prices fell to their lowest prices since the 1980s on Monday. The price of West Texas Intermediate crude plunged to the lowest prices ever. US crude oil May contract ended the day at negative 37-63 per barrel, a price meltdown of 300-percent. The price per barrel started the year at about 60-dollars, but reduced demand because of the pandemic, and a recent price war between the Saudis and the Russians, have led to a glut of oil. The Texas economy is already feeling the shock waves.
