The San Antonio ISD is taking steps to make sure kids can keep in touch for remote learning while schools are shut down for the pandemic. The district has distributed more than 23,000 new Chrome Books, along with another 17,000 devices that SAISD already had on hand, in order to close the digital gap. Now, the SAISD Foundation is raising money to pay monthly Internet service fees, and has handed out 3,500 WiFi hotspots.
