The city of San Antonio is providing 840 hotel rooms for people who have to self-quarantine after testing positive for the coronavirus. In a virtual City Council meeting on Tuesday, San Antonio Fire Chief Charles Hood told Mayor Ron Nirenberg and the council that 62 of the rooms are ready for use, and another 778 rooms are available if they're needed. So far, only one room is occupied. Hood says occupants won't be able to leave the room and won't have a key. No visitors, pets, drinking, drugs or smoking are allowed in the rooms.
