San Antonio Food Bank volunteers are getting ready for another major food distribution. The handout is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at the Alamodome.
Eric Cooper, president and CEO of the food bank, says the nonprofit usually helps feed about 60-thousand people a week, but the number has doubled during the COVID-19 pandemic. The food bank says they have enough supplies on hand to last only another three-weeks at this rate. Cooper says a public-private partnership will probably be needed to keep them afloat.
