Temporary Hospital Good To Go At NRG Park

Houston and Harris County officials say a temporary hospital at NRG Park may not be necessary to deal with the pandemic, but it's there just in case. Mayor Sylvester Turner and Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo held a press conference on Saturday and said the local health care system is still under capacity, but the pop-up medical shelter will be there to fall back on. Hidalgo said the county has spent 11-million-dollars on the 250 bed facility so far. FEMA will reimburse the county 75% of the cost up to 177 million dollars.
