Matthew & Camila McConaughey Donate Masks To Austin First Responders

Actor Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila were busy this week donating masks to Austin first responders.

Camila McConaughey wrote on her Instagram post, "Our mission is to protect those who protect us, by providing healthcare workers, firefighters, police officers, and others with approximately 80,000 masks needed to battle the #COVID19 virus. Matthew and I, our friends Bill and Tracey Marshall have teamed up with the organization #BStrong. We are passionate about helping first responders from our hometown Austin - Texas, Louisiana and nationwide as we combat this national pandemic. #thisisacrisis"

The Austin Fire Department posted on Facebook, "The C-shift at Station 32 (Lieutenant Alex Vanegas, Fire Specialist Joseph Hordyk, and Firefighters Jesse Catron and Eric Johnson) got a couple of surprise visitors yesterday, when Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves McConaughey stopped by to let us know we’ll be receiving several thousand N-95 masks soon! It's all part of their commitment to donate 80,000 to healthcare workers, firefighters, and police officers in Austin and New Orleans. On behalf of the public safety and healthcare families, a HUGE thank you to the McConaugheys for their generous gift!"
