Texas Wine Industry Damaged By Coronavirus Outbreak

The coronavirus outbreak in Texas is harming the state's wine industry, as well as the tourism associated with it. Adriana Cruz, head of economic development and tourism for the governor's office, says the Texas wine industry has lost millions of dollars due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She says the industry supports about 104-thousand jobs in the state. The wineries in central Texas are a popular tourist attraction, but Cruz says that's all on hold for now. Wineries are still shipping wine, and some offer curbside and delivery service.
