Thousands of Bexar County citizens will soon be getting checks to reimburse them for overpayment of property taxes. The county's Office of Tax Assessor-Collector announced Tuesday it plans to send out four-thousand checks to people who overpaid. Tax Assessor-Collector Albert Uresti says the checks are going out at a time when a lot of people are out of a job or working reduced hours because of the coronavirus outbreak. The office's lobbies are closed, but it can be reached online, by phone or mail, and 24-hour drop boxes.
