Checkpoints Set Up Screening People Driving Into Texas From Louisiana

Texas state troopers are now manning checkpoints at the Texas-Louisiana line to screen people driving in from Louisiana. Inbound drivers are required to fill out a form telling where they plan to self-quarantine for two-weeks, which is now mandatory for people arriving from Louisiana. The form also asks for driver's license info so troopers can do a random follow-up at a later time. The troopers started operating the checkpoints on Sunday. People who violate the order could spend six-months in jail or be fined a thousand-dollars.
