Cellphone Data Map Reveals Which Americans Are Ignoring Quarantine

  • While cities across the US are asking residents to stay indoors to help "flatten the curve" when it comes to spreading coronavirus, not everyone is listening.
  • Using cellphone GPS data, Uncast created a map of which states are taking self-isolation seriously and where people in others are still out and about.
  • Building the color-coded "Social Distancing Scoreboard," those in the District of Columbia, Alaska, Nevada, New Jersey, and New York have been following advisories from the health officials, while not so much in North Dakota, South Dakota, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
