Austin Issues "Stay Home" Order

Austin Mayor Steve Adler has issued a "Stay Home-Work Safe ," order for the city of Austin, effective 11:59 p.m. tonight. The order is set to run through April 13.

The order calls for all non-essential businesses to close. Residents are urged to stay at home except for "essential travel." Grocery stores and restaurants with delivery and carryout will remain open, as will other essential services and businesses.

Travis and Williamson Counties also activated "Stay Home-Work Safe" orders in conjunction with the Austin order.
