Amazon is doubling overtime pay for warehouse workers, including those in Texas, as the coronavirus pandemic increases demand for online orders. Amazon said it will pay hourly workers at U.S. warehouses double-time, instead of time and-a-half for overtime worked between March 15th and May 9th. The announcement Saturday came less than a week after Amazon said it's raising hourly workers' pay from 15 to 17 dollars an hour. The online retail giant also says it will hire 100-thousand U.S. warehouse and delivery workers to handle increasing demand.
