The Houston ISD is closed until March 30th in response to the coronavirus scare. Dozens of other Houston-area school districts are also closing, most of them through March 22nd. These include the districts in Fort Bend, Katy, Cypress-Fairbanks, Galveston, Dickinson, Friendswood, Pasadena, Pearland, and Spring Branch, among others. The University of Houston, including its downtown campus, is also closed through March 22, with online classes resuming on March 23rd. The same is true at the University of Saint Thomas.
