A couple of big downtown events planned for this weekend are still happening, virus or no virus. Organizers on Wednesday confirmed that the Tejano Music Awards Fan Fair will go on as scheduled at Market Square, starting today and continuing until Sunday. In addition, the St. Patrick's Day River Parade and related events are going ahead on the River Walk. The news comes after Houston officials canceled the Rodeo on Wednesday, and Austin city officials called off the South by Southwest festival last week.
