Trump Pushes For Unity Amid Coronavirus Spread

President Trump Addresses Nation From White House On Coronavirus

President Trump is suspending all travel from Europe for 30 days. The only exception is the United Kingdom. This begins Friday and comes weeks after he began a travel ban from China over the coronavirus pandemic. Trump addressed the nation Wednesday night, urging anyone sick to stay home. He promised financial relief for those infected or in quarantine. He's also calling on Congress to provide tax relief, defer tax payments and help fund small business loans for firms affected.

The World Health Organization is officially classifying the coronavirus as a pandemic. That means the entire world is being threatened by the respiratory illness. The virus has killed over 46-hundred people, most of which has been in China and Italy. Across the globe, over 125-thousand people have been infected. In the U.S., over 12-hundred people are infected with the illness.

The NBA is suspending its season because of the coronavirus. The call came after a Utah Jazz player preliminarily tested positive for the respiratory illness. The test came back shortly before the Jazz and Oklahoma City were set to play. That game was canceled. Tonight's NBA games will go on and the season will be suspended until further notice.
