A local manufacturer plans to build medical containers that can be placed inside cargo aircraft to transport patients with infectious diseases. Knight Aerospace says the unit is self-contained, and only needs to be hooked up to the airplane's power. The units will be able to hold a dozen patients and medical personnel. Each unit takes four to six months to build, and the company says they should be able to handle coronavirus patients. A Knight executive says the State Department and the CDC are already interested in the units.
