Biden Wins Texas

Presidential Candidate Joe Biden Holds Super Tuesday Night Campaign Event In Los Angeles

Joe Biden is the projected winner of the Democratic primary in Texas. It was one of 14 states taking part in the busiest day of the presidential primary season. Over 13-hundred pledged delegates were at stake on Super Tuesday, with 228 delegates in Texas.

Biden finished first, with Bernie Sanders a close second. Mike Bloomberg was in third.

A resurgent Biden far exceeding expectations in Super Tuesday states. The former VP scored projected victories in Texas, as well as Virginia, North Carolina, Minnesota and Massachusetts, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Sanders was the projected winner in Colorado, Utah and his home state of Vermont. Biden's sluggish campaign took off after his decisive win in South Carolina's primary on Saturday.

Biden's resurgence is especially notable considering his campaign's massive funding gap, compared to Sanders' well-financed campaign. Meantime, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren trailed Biden and Sanders in her home state. Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg got one projected win in American Samoa.
