Gay Texas Teacher Wins Settlement After Suspension

A Texas school district is awarding a gay art teacher $100 thousand after she was suspended for showing a picture of her fiance to students. Stacy Bailey was teaching at an Arlington elementary school when she showed the picture during a "Get to Know Your Teacher" event in 2017. She was placed on administrative leave after a parent accused her of "promoting a homosexual agenda." Bailey sued, and a judge ruled her suspension was unconstitutional. The settlement was announced this week. The school district denies doing anything wrong.
