More than a million federal dollars are on the way to San Antonio to fund efforts to fight HIV and AIDS. U.S. Senator John Cornyn says the Bexar County Hospital District will receive a grant for 850-thousand-dollars from the Department of Health and Human Services. In addition, the Health Center Program is sending nearly 306-thousand-dollars to El Centro del Barrio to help provide primary care, prevention services, and medication to HIV-positive patients.
