Boy shot while unloading groceries

A child is hospitalized after being shot while helping his stepfather unload groceries out of a car. Police Chief William McManus says it happened in the 4300 block of Wild Oak Drive. McManus says they believe they know why the shooting took place and who may have done it, but he didn't divulge more information.

McManus said, "I’m not showing my anger right now, but it is extremely frustrating and it angers me, angers everyone, to know a little boy was shot and seriously injured because these shooters could be, I mean at the very least [responsible] about this." MacManus went on to say, "It’s just insane that you would just shoot at somebody like that. Specifically with a little boy sitting in the drive way."
