A Bexar County deputy is on administrative leave after shooting a child sex assault suspect during an arrest attempt last night. When deputies confronted the 63-year-old suspect at a home on Channecy Springs near Parton Lane, he reportedly pulled a gun on them. A deputy then shot him in the hip. The suspect is recovering at Brooke Army Medical Center. In addition to aggravated sexual assault of a child, the suspect will also be charged for threatening the deputies.
