Comal ISD Board Trustees are proceeding with a bond issue intended to pay for new schools, campus safety, school buses and more. The trustees approved the nearly $400 million bond package to be put to a vote on May 2nd. The board drew up the proposal in anticipation of the 6,700 new students expected to enroll in the district over the next five years. The bond would pay for two new elementary schools, a new middle school, a multi-use center, and upgrades at existing campuses.
