A lawsuit is being filed by a Houston Astros season ticket holder over the sign stealing scandal. The suit says the team overcharged for season tickets during the 2017, 2018, and 2019 seasons while putting a deficient product on the field. Attorneys for Adam Wallach also say the Astros should be kept from raising ticket prices for the next two seasons and repay season ticket holders for the diminished value of personal seat licenses at Minute Maid Park from 2017 to 2020.
The Astros were fined five-million dollars and lost several draft picks for stealing signs in 2017. Owner Jim Crane also fired manager AJ Hinch and GM Jeff Luhnow after MLB announced they were suspended for the 2020 season. The suit wants a million dollars in damages.
