Austin has been named America's best capital city by WalletHub. WalletHub compared all 50 state capitals across 49 key indicators of affordability, economic well-being, quality of education and health, and quality of life. Data ranged from cost of living to K–12 school-system quality to number of attractions.

Austin was ranked #1 for economic well-being, #3 for quality of education and health, #4 for quality of life and #12 in the affordability ranking.

Trenton, New Jersey was last on the list.
