Bernie Sanders says he expects to win Texas in the upcoming presidential primary on Super Tuesday.
Sanders held a rally in Mesquite, Texas Friday night, with a large group of supporters showing up early to hear the Democratic candidate.
A new poll is putting Sanders ahead of former Vice President Joe Biden in the Texas Democratic presidential primary. The University of Texas/Texas Tribune Poll has Sanders at 24% with Biden at 22%. Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren is third with 15% while former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is at 10%. Former South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg is at 7%. The Texas primary is March 3rd.
