A major ad buy from a super PAC is boosting the campaign of MJ Hegar in her challenge to GOP Senator John Cornyn of Texas. VoteVets, a liberal group founded by veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, launched the TV ad buy of more than three-million-dollars on Tuesday. The 30-second spots will run for two weeks on broadcast, cable and satellite. Hegar, an Air Force vet, is one of a dozen Democrats challenging Cornyn. She's the top fundraiser and has been endorsed by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
