2 dead, 1 wounded at Texas A&M Commerce

Two people are dead and a third wounded in a shooting at the Texas A&M Commerce campus. Police reported an active criminal investigation was underway at Pride Rock Residence Hall and a shelter in place was initiated. The shelter in place was later lifted. All classes are canceled for the remainder of the day and evening at the A&M-Commerce campus. Counselors are available in Rayburn Student Center conference rooms on campus for anyone who needs assistance coping with this situation.

Commerce is located about 65 miles northeast of Dallas.
