Kobe Bryant Reportedly Killed In Helicopter Crash In Calabasas Hills

A former University of Houston assistant baseball coach is identified as one of nine people who died in the helicopter crash that killed NBA legend Kobe Bryant. John Altobelli, his wife, and his daughter died in the accident on Sunday morning in southern California. Altobelli ran up impressive numbers as a player for the Cougars in 1984 and 1985. He served as an assistant coach in 1987, the year he graduated with a physical education degree.
