The North East ISD will no longer calculate class rankings for students in the district except the top ten-percent. The district's trustees voted Monday to make the change. NEISD associate superintendent Dr. Donna Newman says the move will help ease the stress that students feel about rankings. She says the district had been considering making the change for the past couple of years. Newman says district officials met with administrators, counselors, parents, and university officials before making the decision.
