Lime and its electronic scooters will soon be leaving San Antonio. The company announced on Thursday that its scooters will no longer be available in a few days, as it pulls out of the Alamo City in the weeks ahead. Lime was one of only three companies to land city contracts just last month to operate up to a-thousand scooters each in San Antonio. The company says higher fees and reduced ridership are chasing it out of town. City staffers say they'll proceed with the other two contracts, with Bird and Razor, which take effect Monday.
