A divided federal appeals court is lifting a lower court order blocking billions of dollars in military funding from being used for President Trump's border wall. The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans on Wednesday granted the administration's request to stay an injunction issued last month by a federal judge in El Paso, Texas. The three-judge panel split along partisan lines, with the two judges appointed by Republicans voting to temporarily lift the injunction and the Democratic-appointed judge voting to uphold it. The case could now be appealed to the full Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals or to the Supreme Court.
