A Dallas County Medical Examiner report is revealing a man shot by DPS was shot 16 times. Schaston Hodge was shot last August after DPS stopped him for a traffic violation. Troopers said Hodge was armed at the time of the incident and shot first, however the video of the shooting has not been released. The Dallas Morning News received Hodge's autopsy on Friday that revealed he was shot five times in the front, four times in the back, and four times in the torso among other bullets found in his thigh and head. In a statement delivered through her attorney, Hodge's mother says he was "killed like an animal." The troopers involved in the shooting were placed on paid leave afterwards, and it is not known if they have returned to work.
