Border Patrol agents in South Texas are staying busy this Christmas week. Officials say agents in the Rio Grande Valley Sector and local law enforcement stopped three different drug smuggling attempts starting Monday. Agents found more than 800 pounds of marijuana during the three stops. One American, two Mexican nationals and several others were arrested. Agents say a driver in one of the stops was able to escape.
