Plane Bound For Mexico City Makes Emergency Landing In McAllen

Airplane Traffic At JFK Airport in New York

American Airlines says maintenance crews are looking into what caused smoke inside the cabin of a flight bound for Mexico City. Flight 2350 from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport was forced to make an emergency landing in McAllen yesterday due to the problem. One-hundred and 60 passengers and six crew members were evacuated from the plane and two people received medical attention. The airline said a replacement plane was scheduled to pick up the passengers last night and take them to Mexico City.
